Chemistry is certainly a maverick online dating site, if for no other reason than the fact that it doesn't allow you to do searches. Sounds ridiculous?
Never fear, for Chemistry is focused on finding you a long-term partner, and does so by making new members take a long, somewhat jumbled test full of not only standard questions about your preferences and behaviour and lifestyle but even a few visual-test games to...; well, I'm not sure exactly what happens with the results.
But as created by cultural anthropologist Dr. Helen Fisher, Chemistry tests evaluate you in several different areas before putting you in a category such as "negotiator/explorer", and the results are interestingly thought out. Your profile will explain your results, stopping along the way to note what kind of people you'll be compatible with.
Chemistry then uses those results to give you sets of matches. You rate those matches yourself, from "fizzling" to "sizzling", and successful matches move on to what the site calls its four-stage "guided communication process". There, you'll move from a few questions to short answers to email and finally a personal meeting.
All this work Chemistry.com does for you isn't cheap, though. This service costs you a minimum of $26.65 a month (for a six-month plan). But if you're tired of doing all the nitpicky work of going through search after search and are looking to take the online dating search to a new level, Chemistry.com is the place to go.
